Overview of conducted seminars

January - February 2011

This period saw the holding of courses for computer proficiency in MS WORD I, MS WORD II, MS EXCEL and MS EXCEL II. The courses were run in mobile computer classrooms at the company’s facilities in 2 locations – Havířov and Petřvald. Some 47 employees working in various positions – ranging from secretaries to specialist managers – attended the courses. Each participant obtained a Certificate of Proficiency.

An electronic VIRTUAL CLASSROOM was set up via which the course participants have at their disposal not only the schedules for the individual courses and lists of the names of those participating in the courses, but also the complete course texts for each lecture theme. Photographs from the courses have been published too. An essential component of the virtual classroom is electronic communication with the lecturers, within which the course participants can ask questions on the presented subjects and the lecturers are able to respond. This communication is available to all the participants, thus supplementing the traditional classroom and the educational texts.

March - April 2011

The beginning of March saw the conclusion of Key Activity 07 of the Project – Tuition for computer proficiency in POWER POINT. The Project resources supported the training of 45 employees, of which 44 employees successfully completed the IT courses.

Further key activities of the Project were also started in March, namely KA 04 – Education for middle management and KA 05 – Education of foremen. Each of these key activities were set out in five innovated courses, for example, “Effective managerial communication”, “Leadership of people, motivation”,  “Team cooperation”, “Managing change”, “Tasking, feedback, labour law”, “Solving conflicts”, and so on. Both of the key activities were concluded at the beginning of April. Each participant obtained a Certificate of Proficiency. The Education for middle management course saw the participation of 21 employees of the firm, and the Education for foremen course 26 employees.

In April 2011, further key activities of the Project were also started, namely KA 03 – Education for Top management and  KA 06 – Education for the business team. The first key activity was attended by 15 managers of the firm and their back-up personnel, while the second key activity was attended by 16 employees, who form the company business team. The realisation of both of these parts of the Project will continue in two-day training camps outside the company, organised for every month (except for a period of summer months) up to November 2011.
