The AWT Group transferred all groundwork to the company AWT Rekultivace

10/1/2010

Today is the end of the period in which recultivation and construction work in the AWT Group was formally performed by two different companies. As of 1 October, the business unit of groundwork and mining work (BU 07) of the company Advanced World Transport a.s. with its 204 employees was transferred to AWT Rekultivace a.s.

The long-prepared transfer was approved by the shareholders of the AWT Group on 16 September 2010 and it was subsequently confirmed also by the record in the Commercial Register.

The reasons for this step are obvious – there were two organizational units within one group whose lines and places of business were highly interwoven.  Also the technological background, equipment and other capacities, professional structure of employees or a circle of customers were very similar. Therefore the concentration of all recultivation and construction work in one location within the Group was a logical outcome of this situation. It creates a lot of synergy effects and it will also help to increase our competitive strength on the market.

Also labor conditions were resolved to the satisfaction of all parties involved, including Trade Unions. The new employees were transferred to the company AWT Rekultivace with their current employment contracts. Both the current employer and the new one also accepted the proposal of the Trade Union OS PHGN that the current Collective Agreement of AWT Rekultivace should apply to the transferred employees from the first day in full. Thus the remuneration and the social part of the Collective Agreement will apply to all of the approximately 530 employees of the Company without any difference.

“We made one complex, a crew of one ship that works under the same conditions on a common goal. Only the cooperation of all employees can move us forward and bring prosperity and future to our Company and to all of us,” stressed the Chairman of the Board of AWT Rekultivace Andrzej Santarius.
